The State of the Patient Summit & Rise Awards, presented by Patients Rising — September 24, 2026, at the Kennedy Caucus Room, Washington, D.C.

  About the event

The Summit and the Rise Awards, together in one afternoon.

Two programs, one afternoon. Patients and policy leaders take an honest look at the state of American healthcare, and we recognize a group of advocates and innovators working to improve it. Held in one of the most historic rooms in the United States Senate.

The dialogue

State of the Patient Summit

Patients name the barriers limiting their choices, access, and affordability. Policy leaders respond with practical solutions built on transparency, accountability, and patient control. Two panels, one clear-eyed look at where the system fails patients — and how to fix it.

The recognition

The Rise Awards

The Rise Awards recognize the advocates, innovators, caregivers, and truth-tellers strengthening patient voice nationwide — and support the Legislative Education and Advocate Development (LEAD) program that trains the next generation of patient advocates.

A federal drug-pricing program built around patients has too often left them invisible. A candid look at what transparency and accountability should deliver — as Congress weighs major 340B reform.

Panelists to be announced
Panel II

Caring for Both: Alzheimer’s Treatment Access and the Caregivers Behind Every Patient

Access to new Alzheimer’s treatments and support for the families who provide daily care are one fight, not two. A look at the legislation working to serve both the patient and the caregiver.

Panelists to be announced
