Access: Breaking Down Barriers to Care
Every patient deserves access to the right treatment at the right time. We're working to deliver access to new therapies and life-saving treatments. We want to protect the pipeline of progress from anti-patient algorithms, formularies and value frameworks. We are fighting for accelerated FDA approvals, expanded early access programs, and telehealth, ensuring access is never limited by zip code or corporate middlemen.
Affordability: Real Solutions for Rising Out-of-Pocket Costs
Healthcare costs should never be a barrier to life-saving care. We advocate for real solutions that reduce patients' out of pocket costs through expanded HSA flexibility and direct cost-sharing assistance. We categorically reject government price controls, Prescription Drug Affordability Boards, and "value frameworks" that ration care and limit patient access to the right treatment. We support policies that increase domestic medical product manufacturing and a robust pipeline of innovation because innovative breakthroughs save lives, improve quality of life and reduce the overall cost of healthcare.
Accountability & Transparency: Uncovering Where Our Money Goes
Healthcare institutions must put patients first. Accurate and transparent pricing is expected in every industry – except healthcare. We believe that patients have a right to be fully informed by hospitals, PBMs and insurance companies about the real out-of-pocket cost of their care. We advocate for greater accountability in 340B program spending, including a clear definition of charity care, to ensure nonprofit hospitals truly serve their communities. We demand real transparency for pharmacy benefit managers who manipulate drug pricing with hidden rebates.
Control: Restoring the Doctor-Patient Relationship
Healthcare should be about a patient working with their care provider to find the right treatment. The ultimate decision about treatment should be between patients and their doctors. We believe that the true measure of value in healthcare starts with the needs and concerns of patients—not payers, providers, or pharmacy benefit managers. We oppose discriminatory measures like QALYs and affordability boards that devalue human lives. Only patients can decide the goals, priorities and value of treatment.
