Wednesday Wake-Up: How did Covid-19 affect mental health in the U.S.?
Wednesday May 5, 2021 @ 10:00 am – 11:00 am
May is Mental Health Awareness Month.
We all know that the past year and a half has not been easy. Especially true for the rare and chronic disease communities.
This week I will be joined by two guests! We will talk to Ashley Bykerk, Health Legislative Assistant to Senator Amy Klobuchar. Sen. Klobuchar recently introduced a bill in the Senate titled, “Covid-19 Mental Health Research Act”. We will discuss what that means for mental health moving forward.
We will also be talking to Andrew Sperling, the Director of Legislative Affairs for the National Alliance on Mental Illness, about other legislation going on to ensure those affected by Mental Illness are being heard.
This is not a conversation that you want to miss. So make sure to register today!
